Digital neurology clinic and assessments

Digital neurology combines clinical expertise with advanced technology to assess and monitor brain health. At Affidea neuraCare, our focus is on digital neurocognitive assessments that measure functions such as memory, attention, executive function, and processing speed.
Unlike traditional paper-based tests, our assessments use gamified digital tasks on tablet devices, providing quick, accurate, and validated results. This allows for earlier detection of neurological changes and ongoing monitoring of cognitive health.
How digital assessments work
Our digital assessments are structured in three layers:
- Layer 1 – Screening (90 seconds): Short tasks to highlight general neurocognitive health.
- Layer 2 – General Assessment (20 minutes): Three tasks evaluating working memory, attention, and executive function.
- Layer 3 – Disease-Specific Assessment (up to 20 minutes): Tailored tasks for specific pathways such as dementia, Parkinson’s, or other neurological conditions.
This layered approach makes the assessments suitable for both initial triage and long-term monitoring
Digital assessments are recommended in the following situations:
- Triage & screening: First-line evaluation for patients with symptoms but no diagnosis.
- General assessment: Broader evaluation of cognitive function to support diagnosis.
- Pathway monitoring: Ongoing follow-up for conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.
Because they are quick, validated, and easy to repeat, digital assessments are also ideal for monitoring treatment progress over time
We understand that seeing a neurologist online can feel a little daunting. Our platforms are easy to use and secure, and we’ll help you get set up so your appointment goes smoothly.
Here’s what you can expect before, during, and after your initial appointment.
Before your appointment
Your doctor will explain the process and discuss your history and symptoms. No special preparation is needed
You might find it helpful to go through this with someone you trust, such as a close friend or family member, especially if you’ve been living with your symptoms for some time. They can offer a shoulder to lean on and may also recall details or changes you might not have noticed or remembered.
During your appointment
- You will complete a set of gamified tasks on a tablet device.
- The tasks are supervised in person by a doctor.
- Results are generated immediately after completion.
After your appointment
- Your doctor reviews the results with you and explains what they mean.
- You will be directed to the appropriate specialist pathway if needed (e.g., memory clinic, movement disorders).
- The report may also be used for ongoing monitoring of your neurological health.
