Dr. Papadimas graduated from the Medical School, University of Patras (1999). He was awarded the HRAKLEITOS Scholarship for his postgraduate studies at the Department of Experimental Pharmacology, University of Athens, where he obtained his PhD (2007). He trained in Neurology at the 1st Department of Neurology, Aeginition Hospital, and completed a fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorders at the Friedrich-Baur-Institute, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany) with a scholarship from the Hellenic Neurological Society.
Since 2010, he has been working at the 1st Department of Neurology, Aeginition Hospital, initially as a consultant neurologist and, since 2025, as Associate Professor of Neurology – Myopathology. He participates in the clinical, educational, and training program of the 1st Department of Neurology and supervises the Outpatient Clinic for acquired and hereditary muscle diseases.
His research interests focus on the pathogenesis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases. He is also actively involved in organizing centers of excellence for rare diseases in Greece. He has published extensively in international academic journals and has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international congresses.
